A loving father, husband and grandad - always in our hearts!

Fred was the eldest of three boys and was born to hard working immigrant parents arriving in Canada from Slovakia. Fred was an outstanding athlete and scholar. Achieving many accolades in his schooling years.

He married Gladys Martin whom he met in college and together they enjoyed 54 years of marriage.

In 1980 Fred and Gladys moved to Sydney, Australia to start a new career and new life. Fred absolutely loved Australia.

Fred leaves behind his loving wife, three daughters (Abby, Sarah, Leonie and 12 grandchildren who adored their poppy).

Fred will be missed dearly by his loving wife, family and friends. We take comfort knowing that he is walking the streets of heaven with his beautiful smile.

Fred was a stand out athlete who captained his High School hockey team to a Division championship in his senior year.
